2022 年銷售業績仍可持續成長,但速度會下降

由於薪資提高和房屋價格支撐長期需求,我們預期耐用消費品 2022 年的銷售業績應會繼續成長。不過,成長速度仍比不上 2021 年,原因在於社交距離限制措施放寬,未來恐將浮現壓抑鬆綁後對 於非耐用商品和服務的高度需求。此外,天然氣和食品價格導致通 貨膨脹率升高,對消費用品支出預算也會造成衝擊。繼 2021 年遽 增 12.2% 之後,我們預期家用電器產出將衰退 2.5%。傢俱和消費電 子營收成長率分別可望達到 3.5% 和 2.8%,但供應鏈瓶頸和貨運延 誤問題仍會造成衝擊。網路銷售佔零售總業績的 23% 左右,預測 今年的成長率將介於 11% 到 13% 之間。

由於疫情導致撙節成本,零售商 2021 年的淨利率是增加的,我們 預期未來幾個月也將保持穩定。現階段的成本膨脹應會對企業財 務造成滯後效應,零售商得以將增加的進貨成本部分轉嫁給一般 顧客。

這個產業的平均付款期限是 60 天左右。零售商在疫情高峰期後已 經恢復正常運作,因此付款趨勢應該會保持穩定。2021 年的美國 零售業破產數量減少到過去十年來最低點。這是政府消費振興方案帶動銷售業績所致。此外,耐用消費品零售商受惠於薪資保護貸款 計畫 (Paycheck Protection Program, PPP) 等企業流動能力補助方 案,同時低利率也為債務再融資提供有利的融資機會。有鑑於銷售 業績持續成長,我們預期未來十二個月不會出現零售業破產數量大 幅增加的情况。

不過,小型零售商的信用風險卻會出現下滑疑慮。由於 PPP 貸款截止的緣故,許多小型零售商必須增貸,而銀行卻 更不願意貸款給這個細分市場。升息後,倘若流動能力變小,小型 零售商會更容易陷入財務困境。此外,供應鏈瓶頸懸問題而未決, 通貨膨脹率高居不下對消費者情緒造成的衝擊,全都是未來幾個月 可能浮現的下滑風險。
